Tiger Woods saga hits all-time low with Howard Stern’s TV bikini contest

Just when Tiger Woods is reported to be ready to make his golfing comeback - even hiring a former presidential advisor to help with damage control - the long-running saga reached its nadir this week when three of his alleged mistresses, dressed in bikinis, took part in a "who know's most about Tiger" competition on American TV.

The contest, broadcast by US 'shock jock' Howard Stern, pitted cocktail waitress Jamie Jungers against another waitress, Jaimee Grubbs, and former escort girl Loredana Jolie Ferriolo. Grubbs took part despite issuing an apology to Tiger's wife in December, when she said: "I couldn't describe how remorseful that I am to have hurt her family".

Twenty-seven-year-old Jungers won the contest to find the golfer's "true mistress" after the three women had answered questions about how they met and what he was like in bed.

Jungers, who first met Woods at a Las Vegas casino party in 2005, won a 3.5 carat black diamond ring donated by a Philadelphia jeweller and $75,000 in cash put up by AshleyMadison.com, the website devoted to helping married people find lovers. Jungers told Stern: "I'm so excited. I just feel blessed."

Stern put on the show just as Woods was reported to have finally moved home with his wife Elin Nordegren and hired Ari Fleischer, a former advisor to George W Bush, to help plot his return to the pro golf circuit.

According to the New York Post, that could be as soon as the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which starts on March 25 at Bay Hill in Orlando, Florida. The Post claims Palmer himself has told friends that Woods is definitely playing Bay Hill, while the tournament organisers are preparing for a larger-than-usual media crowd.

Others say Woods could be back even earlier, playing the Tavistock Cup on March 22 at Isleworth, his home course.

In the meantime, the golfer and his wife have to live down the Howard Stern contest. At least they have the comfort of knowing that some former mistresses, including porn actresses Holly Sampson and Joslyn James, refused to take part. ·
