Is Tiger Woods back with his wife Elin Nordegren?

As rumours that Tiger Woods is about to return to the golf course gather pace it is also being reported that he and his wife Elin Nordegren are patching up their differences.

According to the gossip website Radar Online the couple were spotted canoodling on Monday after Elin had been playing tennis in the exclusive Isleworth area where the couple still live, albeit in separate homes. The site quotes an eyewitness who said: "They were hugging and they were kissing right out in the open.

"Elin is certainly a lot more relaxed these days and so is he," said the source. "People in the neighbourhood are getting used to seeing them together again."

Nordegren is not living in the mansion she and Woods used to share, but the same website has reported that she is renting a house in a nearby gated community and that the couple have been in regular contact and have been having meals out together.

The website, which is owned by the National Enquirer's parent company, has followed the Woods saga closely and published photographs of him during his six-week stay at the Pine Grove Behavioral Center where he was in therapy for sex addiction.

It was the Enquirer that set the whole ball rolling when it ran a report in late November claiming that a New York party hostess, Rachel Uchitel, was having an affair with the golfer. A few days later, on November 27, Woods crashed his Cadillac into a tree outside his Florida home, unleashing an avalanche of further revelations.

It was expected that Nordegren would file for divorce in the aftermath of the revelations, but now it seems she is prepared to give her errant husband a second chance.

Radar Online also quotes another source who is 'familiar' with the couple who says: "The divorce has been called off now. He's winning her back." It also states that Nordegren is planning to move back in with her husband in the near future.

But even if the reports are true it seems Woods still has a fair way to go before things return to normal. The day after the couple were supposedly spotted canoodling in public, People magazine photographed Nordegren heading for a spa day with her two-and-a-half year old daughter Sam, and she was still without her wedding ring. ·
