Get ready for Fiddy and SuBo: the duet made in gangsta heaven

Susan Boyle's extraordinary rise to global stardom shows no sign of faltering after notorious 'gangsta' rapper 50 Cent announced that he wants to record a duet with the Britain's Got Talent singing sensation.

The hip-hop star - not previously known to be a fan of show tunes - made the startling admission in an interview with the Daily Mirror in which he even suggested that he would like to take Boyle out clubbing.

Although the pair both come from deprived backgrounds, they would appear to have little else in common. Fiddy, as the rapper is also known, was a drug dealer in his teenage years and was shot nine times in 2000 before finding fame. Boyle grew up in a council house in Lanarkshire and cared for her mother until her death in 2007 and still volunteers at her local church.

Boyle’s debut album I Dreamed a Dream has been one of the fastest selling of all time and 50 Cent is impressed.  "Susan Boyle is hot right now. I got to get her on a track, for real. We'd make a hit," the rapper from Queens told the Mirror.

"She's got an amazing voice, and together we'd get everyone dancing," explained Fiddy, before adding: "I'm always looking to do something new and she's cool, so I'll ask somebody to let her know."

He also offered to take the 48-year-old spinster on a night out. "I'd love to take her clubbing, show her around my world. She'd have a great time," he said. What SuBo would make of a night out with Fiddy is anyone’s guess: in his breakthrough hit In Da Club the rapper revealed that on a night out he likes to drink Bacardi, take drugs and have sex. ·
