Hayley Hasselhoff sends drunk dad David to hospital

David Hasselhoff has been hospitalised with alcohol poisoning for the second time this year. An ambulance was called to the 57-year-old actor's home at 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon after his daughter Hayley found him collapsed on the floor.

According to celebrity gossip website TMZ.com, Hayley phoned her mother Pamela, and told her she had found Hasselhoff in an extremely drunk state. A friend of Pamela then called paramedics. Emergency services confirmed they visited the Hasselhoff home in Encino, California.

A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson said: "We sent an ambulance and a person was transported to hospital."

It is the second time this year the former Knight Rider and Baywatch actor has been saved by his daughter after drinking to excess. In May, Hayley called her mother while being forced to continually slap her father’s face to keep him awake for fear he might die.

Hasselhoff, currently a judge on America's Got Talent, refuses to admit he has an alcohol problem, despite his daughter posting footage on the internet of him in an apparently drunken state in 2007 in order to shame him. ·
