Perez Hilton calls Lily Allen a ‘trainwreck’

Feisty pop singer and ardent Tweeter Lily Allen is well-known for her public spats with fellow celebrities from the music world, including Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Amy Winehouse and even the nation's sweetheart, Cheryl Cole, X Factor judge and now the new face of L'Oreal. But her feud with the Hollywood blogger Perez Hilton is the longest-running, and it just got nastier.

In a new post, Hilton called her a "trainwreck" and a "drunk" who should avoid motherhood at all costs. He was picking up on Allen's interview with OK! in which she said she wanted to eventually quit singing and become a "suburban mum". She told the magazine: "I just hope I can stay famous enough for a little bit so someone rich will marry me."
 
In a post entitled 'Lily Allen + Motherhood = Disaster!!!' Hilton used his blog to say: "Boy, do we pity the poor sap who marries this trainwreck." He added: "Can't you stick to intoxication instead of moving on to procreation? It's what you know best!"
 
As ever, Allen retaliated on her Twitter page, calling Hilton "an evil bastard, i hate this man. someone better watch themselves... and yes that is a threat."

If Allen wants to carry through with her threat, there are two obvious candidates to jump in on her behalf: first, there's her new boyfriend, builder Sam Cooper, who gets a namecheck in a cover story for Elle magazine, out next week; second, there's Allen's new friend Jonathan Agnew, the BBC radio cricket commentator otherwise known as Aggers.

As reported here yesterday, Aggers was the subject of an extraordinary attack by Observer columnist Will Buckley after an interview Agnew did with the cricket-mad Lily on Test Match Special last weekend.

After Buckley accused Aggers of "salivating" and being "pervy", Allen rushed to the BBC man's defence, saying he had been nothing but kind and gentlemanly during the course of the interview. Will Aggers now go in to bat for Lily? ·
