Jamaica win the 4x100m relay to give Bolt his third gold medal. Great Britain finish third, but other Brits fail to make the podium
Usain Bolt grabbed yet another gold medal at the athletics World Championships in Berlin as Jamaica won the 4x100m relay in a championship record of 37.31 seconds.
Trinidad and Tobago took silver in 37.62secs with Great Britain - whose protest ensured the United States were disqualified from the heats for an illegal changeover - claiming bronze.
Greg Rutherford and Chris Tomlinson finished fifth and eighth in the long jump final, Steve Lewis was joint sixth in the pole vault and Britain's women's 4x100m team also finished sixth in their final.
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING:Simon Hart, Sunday Telegraph: "Bolt may be leaving the Olympiastadion with one fewer gold medal than Owens did in 1936 but his astonishing performances over the last eight days will surely rank alongside Owens’ heroics 73 years ago as one of the greatest achievements in the history of athletics."
Anna Kessell, Observer: "Britain added a fourth medal to their haul last night, as the men's 4x100m relay team took bronze in Berlin. Harry Aikines-Aryeetey brought home the baton in a season's best time of 38.02 sec, the podium finish helped along by the disqualification of the US team in the first round. " ·
