Arsene Wenger says he is prepared to break his own transfer rule and allow Patrick Vieira to return to Arsenal. The Inter-Milan mid-fielder, 33, could be signed up by the Gunners for £750,000 by the end of this week, the Daily Express is reporting. It would be the first time that Wenger has re-signed a player in his 13 years at Arsenal.

"Usually once a player has gone, he has gone," Wenger said yesterday. "But I never said that I would never do it. And Patrick is a great player."...

Harry Redknapp is angling to bring Chelsea's Joe Cole to Tottenham Hotspur for £10m, the Daily Mirror is reporting. The Spurs boss, who has signed his former Portsmouth players Jermaine Defoe and Peter Crouch, is also keen to work again with Cole, after giving the midfielder his first professional chance as a teenager at West Ham United. Cole, now 27, has less than 12 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge...
