Second semi-nude photo of Miss California emerges

The American right's new pin-up, Miss California Carrie Prejean, could be stripped of her title after a second semi-nude picture of her emerged on the internet. The photos, which show the beauty queen wearing nothing but pink rhinestone-studded pants and a smile, were taken when she was 17 and trying to break into modelling.
 
Prejean made headlines at the recent Miss USA pageant thanks to her outspoken opposition to gay marriage, which she later said cost her that title. She now says that the pictures were leaked as an attempt to silence her for "defending traditional marriages".
 
The 21-year-old told US Weekly: "I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be... I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos."
 
After the first leaked photo was posted on TheDirty.com earlier this week, Prejean promised there was only one such picture in existence. The fact that a second, similar, image has now emerged could spell trouble for her.
 
Before entering Miss California, she was required to sign a contract, like the other contestants, that contained a clause asking whether she had ever been photographed nude or partially nude and if she had conducted themselves "in accordance with the highest ethical and moral standards”.
 
Miss California organisers say Prejean has also breached her contract by appearing unauthorised in commercials for the National Organisation for Marriage since the storm broke last month. The runner-up in last November's Miss California pageant, Tami Farrell, Miss Malibu, is standing by should Prejean lose her crown. ·
