Two men reportedly arrested in possession of swords, body bag and photos of singer's home

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and rob near the Devon home of singer Joss Stone. Their car was reportedly carrying swords, rope and a body bag.

The two men were reported to police by locals after they were spotted driving slowly around country lanes near Cullompton, according to the Sun, which adds that the pair were also carrying detailed maps and aerial photos of Stone's isolated farmhouse.

A police spokesman said: "The men had information and items that lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offence."

The Daily Mail quotes the police as saying that "major crime detectives are continuing to investigate".

It is not known whether Stone was at the farmhouse, which is apparently undergoing renovations, when the two men were arrested, initially on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons and being equipped to steal.
