ACTRESS and face of Dior perfume Charlize Theron has revealed she had no teeth until she was 11. Theron told The Sun that her childhood was "devastating" because she contracted jaundice and was put on so many antibiotics that her teeth rotted and had to be "cut out". "I had these fangs" instead of milk teeth, she says. "That was tough, you know, being in school having photos taken while I was pretending I had teeth. It was hideous."
ALEX REID LAUNCHES SOLO SINGING CAREER WITH STARDUST "ANTHEM"
Alex Reid has recorded an "uptempo summer anthem" called Stardust, which he plans to release in June, claims the Metro. The former cage fighter announced his plans for a singing career on Twitter, with the optimistic claim "@only1alexreid can sing!" The tweet continued: "A summer anthem that'll make you all feel good! Available at all online music stores including iTunes!" The song might be Reid's first foray into the music scene but it is a surprising change of heart for Jordan's ex-husband, given that last month he said he wanted to be an MP.
POLICE PUBLISH 'AMAZING' MOTORIST EXCUSES
Dorset police have revealed some of the dodgiest explanations given by drivers caught breaking the law as part of a 'No Excuse' campaign, the Daily Mirror reports. The list includes one woman who denied talking on her phone while driving, saying she had actually been eating a prawn cracker. Having claimed she didn't even have a mobile on her, the policeman rung the number the driver had just provided - only for the phone to start ringing in her car. The woman then offered up one of her prawn crackers by way of apology, but was issued with a ticket.
QUEEN AND BOND TO APPEAR IN OLYMPIC VIDEO
According to the Evening Standard, a special film for the Olympics will include footage of the Queen on board a helicopter sitting next to James Bond. The scene is rumoured to be part of a video being pulled together by Danny Boyle, artistic director of the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony. In the film, the Queen will tell 007 that he has a special mission - to launch the Olympics. Daniel Craig is already signed up and has supposedly been spotted at Buckingham Palace for a secret shoot.

A mother who was "shamed" into losing 15 stone after being told she was too fat for a hot air balloon ride has bagged herself a new man, the Daily Mail reports. Jane Qualtrough, 48, was forced to take "a long hard look" at herself after being told her 27-stone weight would stop the balloon from taking off. Now the mother of three feels like "the luckiest girl in the world" after meeting new love Barry. Qualtrough, who admits she was celibate for 12 years, said: "I was such a big fat blob having sex was the last thing on my mind."
