Red top tales: Minogue in film about kissing teenage girls; police in stand-off over Paris Hilton proposal

POP PRINCESS Kylie Minogue has been lined up for a cameo role in an upcoming lesbian werewolf film. Minogue was spotted wearing ‘grunge’ clothes and a set of fake tattoos during filming for Jack and Diane. The plot revolves around two teenage girls who spend a night "kissing ferociously", which causes one of them to have "werewolf-like visions". Minogue plays the owner of a tattoo parlour in her first major movie appearance since she played a green fairy in Moulin Rouge! 11 years ago, reports The Sun.

A man in North California threatened to shoot police unless he was given a pizza and a marriage proposal from Paris Hilton. Fredrick Denny, 61, barricaded himself in a hotel room at Hampton Inn in Belmont on Saturday morning and refused to come out until his demands were met. Several agencies, including the regional SWAT team, responded to the incident and closed off the second floor of the hotel as they tried to negotiate with him. They were finally able to pepper spray and handcuff him, reports the New York Daily News. Officials said he has had several encounters with SWAT teams in other states in the past.
Scientology chiefs tore down a giant eucalyptus tree to deck out the interior of a customised 4x4 they gave as a gift to the actor. According to The Sun, other extravagant gifts included an aircraft hangar and several personalised nickel-plated motorbikes. The details emerged after Marty Rathbun, a former high-ranking Scientologist who left the church in 2004, leaked a memo from 2005. Rathbun claimed that Cruise was given a luxury coach and insisted that it was fitted with a drawer to keep slippers in so people didn't walk on the carpet with dirty shoes.

Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh were among entertainers at a concert for North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong-un. Performers dressed as Disney characters took to the stage and danced to songs from Snow WhiteDumbo and Beauty and the Beast. The performance was staged on Friday by the Moranbong band, which was making its debut after being assembled by Kim Jong-un himself. The Daily Mail points out that allowing characters popular in the West to perform was a notable change in direction for Pyongyang.

A former stripper who is behind bars for heroin-trafficking has claimed that he inspired Channing Tatum’s new film Magic Mike. The film is said to be based on the experiences of Tatum, who worked as a stripper before he became an actor but Tatum has previously claimed that the characters are completely fictional. However, jailbird Michael Sorrentino claims his stage name was Magic Mike for eight years and that he was the one who took Tatum under his wing back in the Nineties and taught him the ropes of the male stripping industry. Sorrentino is currently serving four years in jail near Orlando, Florida while his old pal stars in the film described as “an abundance of six-packs, thongs and risqué dance routines”.
