Tulisa sex tape wins her 'internet's most searched-for celeb'
Tabloid tales: Internet loves Tulisa, Cowell wants Cheryl to save X Factor, bacon-scented shaving cream
TULISA has been crowned 2012's most searched-for celebrity, beating Robert Pattinson and Cheryl Cole. Tulisa also beat last year's winner Justin Bieber, who came in at number five in the list compiled by search engine Bing. According to the Daily Mail, Tulisa's solo career launch and stint as X Factor judge has raised her profile, but it was the leaking of the infamous sex tape that meant her name was so frequently searched for. Scandalous pictures helped push up search hits for the royals: the topless pictures of Kate Middleton propelled her to the number two spot and Prince Harry's naked Vegas antics helped him to break into the top ten (at number six).
COWELL: NAME YOUR PRICE CHERYL
Simon Cowell is so desperate for Cheryl Cole to return to the UK's X Factor he has told her: "Name your price." Cowell wants to return X Factor ratings to their former glory – viewing figures are down 3 million from last year - and so invited the Girls Aloud singer to his Beverly Hill mansion to discuss "saving the show". Cheryl has been resistant to a return after she was humiliated when Cowell replaced her with Nicole Scherzinger on X Factor USA. According to The Sun, Cowell now wants to give Tulisa the boot and is willing to offer Cheryl "at least double what she got last time".
DEPARDIEU IN DRUNK SCOOTER INCIDENT
Gerard Depardieu has been arrested in Paris for driving his scooter while drunk. According to the New York Daily News, the French actor was held for questioning after he fell from his scooter "slightly injuring his elbow". No-one else was hurt in the accident and the actor was taken to a police station for "a period of sobering up". This is not the first time Depardieu's scooter has got him into trouble: just a few months ago a Parisian car driver filed a legal complaint for assault and battery against Depardieu after the actor's scooter collided with the driver's car.
BACON-FLAVOURED SHAVING CREAM ON SALE
A new shaving cream is on the market for men and it smells like bacon. According to the Metro, the product is described as a "high end, luxurious bacon-scented shaving cream" and is available for around £9. Justin Esch, the shaving cream's inventor and self-titled 'bacontrepreneur', advised men to "use it after a hot wash or prior to a date with your potential soul mate" because "there is nothing more powerful than the smell of bacon." Esch's company also produces other bacon-related products such as Bacon Salt and Baconnaise. Esch explained: "Bacon is the smell of champions."
