Tabloid tales: Justin Bieber murder plot foiled while Harry Styles and Taylor Swift take a mini-break

NEW YORK police have arrested two men after uncovering a plot to "castrate and murder" Justin Bieber. According to the Daily Mirror, the suspects were hired by Dana Martin, currently serving 978 years in prison for murder and rape. Martin is said to be "obsessed with Bieber" and has a tattoo of the singer's face on his leg. The convict hired Mark Staake and Tanner Ruane to strangle Bieber and his bodyguard with a paisley tie and then castrate them. Martin confessed everything before it happened and the police found murder tools in Ruane's car.

Harry Styles and Taylor Swift, or 'Haylor', have been spotted on a romantic mini-break in the Lake District. According to the Daily Mail, the couple's relationship is getting serious: during their holiday Swift was introduced to Styles's parents and sister, Gemma, who goes to university in the area. During their mini-break the showbiz pair visited local tourist spot the 'World of Beatrix Potter', fed doves and swans and enjoyed a trip to a "proper English pub".

A man seriously injured himself after he lifted what he thought was a telephone to his ear only to discover it was a hot iron. Tomasz Paczkowski had decided to do some housework after his wife complained he wasn't helping out enough. Paczkowski, resident in England, told the Metro: "Women are always going on about multi-tasking, so I set up the iron, opened a beer and put the boxing on the telly". He was so engrossed in the TV that "when the phone rang I picked up the iron by mistake and pressed it to my ear... The pain was incredible."
