Justin Bieber attacked me with fists, says pop star's bodyguard

Moshe Benabou is suing pop star for punching him repeatedly in the chest. 'Absurd,' says Team Bieber

JUSTIN BIEBER doesn't look like a man who's tasty with his fists, but his former bodyguard begs to differ.

Moshe Benabou says the 18-year-old pop star "berated him" and "punched him in the chest multiple times" after a disagreement, says TMZ.com. Benabou – who worked for the singer from March 2011 to October 2012 - wants "unspecified damages" for the alleged assault and battery and more than $420,000 in unpaid overtime.

But here's the rub: Benabou is a former Israeli soldier who was filmed grappling with a thick-set member of the paparazzi at Los Angeles airport in February. The tussle ended when Benabou punched the 'pap' in the face.

Bieber, says TMZ, is 5ft 7in and weighs "maybe 130 pounds". He's a bantam in other words and the idea of him giving his bodyguard a working over does tend to conjure up images of The Milky Bar Kid taking on The Incredible Hulk.

An extract from the complaint Benabou filed at a Los Angeles court on Friday says Bieber "repeatedly" punched the bodyguard in the "chest and upper body," says the Hollywood Reporter. Benabou "did not retaliate or attempt to protect himself out of his concerns for Justin Bieber's physical well-being," the complaint says.

Benabou says he "simply turned around to walk away" from the confrontation, but Bieber told him he was sacked.

Not surprisingly, Team Bieber denies the claims. A source close to the Canadian star says Benabou is a "disgruntled employee looking for money" and the idea the singer gave him a thumping is "absurd".

TMZ's source says the Israeli was fired because he told "multiple lies" including that he had worked "closely" with Justin Timberlake. ·
