Harry who? Taylor Swift swaps Styles for Ed Sheeran

TAYLOR SWIFT'S short-lived relationship with Harry Styles hasn't put her off tousle-haired English singers, it seems. Not even ginger tousle-haired singers with what can only be described as freckles.

The American star has reportedly begun dating Ed Sheeran, the impossibly sensitive guitar-toting troubadour from Suffolk.

There's only one hitch: Sheeran, 22, is good friends with Styles, 19, so the new liaison could cause all sorts of trouble at English pop's top table.

The Sun has revealed that Swift and Sheeran had a "secret romance" in March last year before breaking it off to focus on their careers. Now, after Swift's disastrous fling with Styles, the couple – who might become known by the portmanteau 'Ted' - are back together. The paper says Sheeran has even got a tattoo on his arm "in tribute to Taylor's hit album Red." Sadly, absolutely no one is suggesting Taylor named her album in honour of Sheeran's famously ginger thatch.

An unnamed source told The Sun: "Taylor has always loved Ed to bits. He's just an adorably sweet guy who makes her laugh and feel really confident." Let's hope he also likes collecting antiques, which is one of Swift's passions, but one not enjoyed by Styles.

Evidence of a Swift-Sheeran hook-up emerged last November when Taylor, 23, admitted she would "do a ginger" during an interview with chat show host Alan Carr.

Sheeran did his best to quell the rumours, telling The Sun that he and Swift are "just good friends". In tabloid terms, that's a bit like saying they're shopping for a house together.

The transatlantic couple will be spending plenty of time together this year because, as MTV points out, Sheeran is the support act on Swift's US tour.

An insider told MTV: "Taylor made it clear when they go off on tour she wants Ed to be her boyfriend." And what Swift wants, she usually gets. ·
