Sheen audience chant at ex-wife: ‘Fuck that bitch’
After disaster in Detroit, Charlie Sheen gets his fans on side in Cleveland
Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen, continuing his Violent Torpedo of Truth tour of America following his sacking from Two and a Half Men, found a sympathetic audience in Cleveland, Ohio yesterday by targeting his ex-wife, Denise Richards. Half-an-hour into the show, he had the entire theatre chanting: "Fuck that bitch!"
His reception was in stark contrast to the opening night in Detroit when Sheen, whose ad-libbing skills are patchy at best, was booed off the stage.
But according to gossip site TMZ.com, Sheen "killed it" in Cleveland and received a standing ovation.
The self-proclaimed warlock began his show by chanting "Fuck Detroit" and dealing with a heckler who asked where his cocaine was. But his anger - and that of his audience - was soon channelled towards his ex-wife.
Richards and Sheen divorced in 2006 and since then have battled over custody of their two daughters and dogs.
Sheen has made no secret of his contempt for Richards and last week lashed out at her on Twitter, writing in his own distinctive pidgin: "We must bombard with Warlock Napalm, that traitor and loser whore #DUH-neese POOR-ards. a vile kidnapper and now dog thief. hate. SBW c."
Sheen has 17 more dates to go on his live tour and ticket sales are sluggish at best. But if he can keep this momentum going, he could find himself '#winning' after all.
