Mag claims Katy Perry is seeking marriage therapy

It hasn't taken long for the celebrity press to get their teeth into Russell Brand and Katy Perry's marriage, declaring that it is in crisis less than four months after they tied the knot.
 
And what is it that has driven a wedge between the celebrity couple? Apparently a picture of Perry that Brand posted on Twitter that shows the I Kissed a Girl singer without any make-up.
 
The less-than-flattering photo appeared on the micro-blogging website late last year and was swiftly taken down. But it was there long enough to go viral, leaving Perry furious.

When she was asked about it at the time, she didn't let on that the photo had rent her marriage asunder. Instead she commented: "He thought it was hilarious, but as you can imagine, I wasn't too impressed".
 
That was the first sign of trouble, and now Life & Style magazine reports that the couple are "living separate lives". It also quotes an "insider" who tells the magazine that Perry has "started asking friends to recommend a marriage counsellor."
 
The magazine points out that Brand has been busy filming the remake of the Dudley Moore film Arthur in New York and that while "Katy was around all the time" when filming began, she’s nowhere to be seen these days.

Perry meanwhile flits from concert to concert and is now about to kick off a 95-date world tour which will run until November, meaning the couple will spend little time together this year.
 
The couple married in a lavish ceremony in India last October. Brand, renowned as a womaniser, said after meeting the singer: "I wasn't promiscuous, just thorough."
 
Things may not be as bad as Life & Style suggests. Perry sent a tweet to Brand on Wednesday that announced: "It's your favourite day, Hump day!" And last week she declared: "We're not like the stereotypical joke of a married couple. I'm married to Russell Brand – I don't just have sex once a week!"

On the other hand, Brand is said not to have tweeted her since November. ·
