Jude Law and 360 launch London Film Festival
Glitzy event opens with Law’s ‘small film’, which uses four languages and co-stars Eminem
A CONSTELLATION of stars gathered in Leicester Square last night for the launch of the 55th BFI London Film Festival. All eyes were on Jude Law, sporting a natty fedora, whose new film 360 was chosen to be the opening screening.
Law told reporters that the film is "about humans being humans" and praised its "extraordinary script". Rachel Weisz co-stars as Law's troubled lover and the eclectic cast also includes Sir Antony Hopkins and rapper Eminem.
360 is a romantic drama which uses Slovak, English, Russian and French languages. Director Fernando Mereilles expressed shock that his "small film" was chosen to headline such a prestigious event, although this is the second time for him after his adaptation of The Constant Gardener launched the 2005 festival.
The London Film Festival runs until October 27 and will feature 204 films, including 13 world premieres. ·
