Jackson cemetery puts kybosh on anniversary
MJ mourners will not be allowed to release doves or perform dance moves
As the first anniversary of Michael Jackson's death approaches, officials from the Los Angeles cemetery where he is buried have released a comprehensive list of things which fans will be banned from doing to mourn the singer.
It will be a year on Friday, June 25, since Jackson died aged 50 following a cardiac arrest. Hundreds of MJ fans plan to descend on the Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills to remember the 50-year-old King of Pop. While they will be permitted to enter the park on Jackson's anniversary, they will not be allowed into the mausoleum where he is buried.
Nor will they be able to mourn Jackson in the manner they feel would best befit the eccentric singer. Requests to release doves, balloons or perform Jackson songs and dance routines have all been turned down by Forest Lawn officials.
Meanwhile the local police department has also issued a list of Jackson anniversary no-no's. Sgt Tom Lorenz from the Glendale Police Department told TMZ.com that fans will not be allowed to camp out beside the cemetery the night before. Those hoping to cash in on the anniversary by selling MJ merchandise have also had their hopes dashed, with all street vendors banned. ·
