In Town Last Night: Save the Children fundraising dinner

As Save the Children president, the HRH Princess Royal presided over the fundraising dinner at the Natural History Museum last night. The charity held its traditional auction of designer goodies and bespoke Christmas trees - this year designed by Marks & Spencer, Sophie Conran and Everton Football Club - raising more than a half a million pounds. Guests who were bidding among the dinosaurs of the museum's great hall included TV presenters Konnie Huq (left, with Laura Ramsey), Davina McCall, Vanessa Feltz, Sophie Raworth and Chris Evans, film journalist Lorien Haynes (right), athlete Denise Lewis and actress Joanna Lumley. ·
