Britney Spears ‘needs body double for cover’

The music magazine Blender is looking for a body double to stand in for Britney Spears in a nude photoshoot because the popster is "too out of shape". The US magazine wants to recreate a famous photograph of Marilyn Monroe, naked in bed, shot by Bert Stern for Vogue magazine in June 1962, six weeks before her death. Having discovered that the 26-year-old singer's physique is not what it was, Blender has advertised for a substitute.

The advert reads: "We are casting for a Britney Spears body double. You must have shoulder to medium length blonde hair. This person must also be in shape! 5'2" to 5'5". Your face will not be shown in the final photograph/cover." Anyone applying must be aged 18 to 25 and will be paid $500 to pose either on December 14 or 17. ·
