In brief: De Niro and Pacino hit London for premiere
The crowds were out in Leicester Square on Sunday for the London premiere of Righteous Kill which brings together Robert De Niro and Al Pacino (pictured with co-star rapper 50 Cent) for the first time since they paired up in the 1995 movie Heat, and nearly 35 years since they appeared in The Godfather: Part II, though not in the same scene. Speaking of their latest collaboration, in which they play New York detectives hunting a serial killer, De Niro said: "I wish we'd done it sooner" while Pacino admitted: "There's so much expectation it makes you think twice"........ Tory leader David Cameron was paid more than £20,000 in return for cooperating with GQ editor Dylan Jones for a biography. Cameron is donating the fee to charity but other biographers regard the arrangement as dubious........ Kazakhstan was infuriated by Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat movie, but they have snapped up the rights to one Britain's most successful TV comedies, The Vicar of Dibley, starring Dawn French and written by Richard Curtis of Love Actually and Notting Hill fame. The sitcom is to be dubbed into Kazakh and Russian........ At 67, Sir Cliff Richard has got into the pop charts at number three with Thank You For A Lifetime, which means he has had a Top Ten hit in five consecutive decades........ Prince Harry's military service in Afghanistan and energetic party-going back home have helped him get voted 'the coolest young royal' in a poll by MSN Entertainment. Harry, 24 today, polled 42 per cent of the votes, with Princess Anne's equestrian daughter Zara Phillips on 35 per cent and Prince William on 15 per cent........ The Coen brothers’ new film Burn After Reading - a return to comedy after their Oscar-winning blood-splattered drama No Country for Old Men - has topped the US box office chart, taking $19.4m in its first weekend in defiance of some critics. The New Yorker said the film's funny scenes were "stifled by a farce plot so bleak and unfunny that it freezes your responses after about 45 minutes"........ ·
