London Fashion Week: Westwood’s album and Art Deco Temperley
Vivienne Westwood celebrated the release of her first album (yes, album) at Selfridges yesterday. The fashion mix-tape entitled Catwalk Breakdown features 16 of Westwood's favourite tracks from her shows, ranging from the New York Dolls' Personality Crisis to Tchaikovsky's Sugar Plum Fairy.
Over at the Natural History Museum, models and press had to push their way past protestors demanding the ban of size zero models. Erin O’Connor, vice-chair of British Fashion Council, went on the charm offensive with TV and radio interviews defending ‘naturally skinny’ models before hosting her wardrobe auction at Christie's. It’s a wonder the poor girl has time to eat...
The beautiful people turned out in force for the Art Deco-inspired Temperly London show with Emilia Fox, Laura Bailey, Rosamund Pike, Jacquetta Wheeler and Mischa Barton taking front row seats (above). Peaches Geldof also made an appearance, naturellement.
Model sisters Elizabeth and Georgia Jagger were spotted at the Julien Macdonald show (think gun metal greys and neutrals) and in the front row at Jaeger, amid speculation that Lizzie Jagger is to give up modeling to study acting in New York.
