Anne Hathaway tipped for Oscar glory as ex faces jail

Anne Hathaway (left) and Gwyneth Paltrow (right) were both in London on Monday night attending UK premieres of their latest movies at the London Film Festival. Hathaway, whose former boyfriend Raffaello Follieri is due to be sentenced on Thursday for cheating investors in a scam involving the Vatican, was at the screening of Rachel Getting Married, for which she is being tipped for an Oscar nomination.

Paltrow's film Two Lovers, in which she stars with Joaquin Phoenix, sounds less likely to be an Academy Award contender: the Times reported: "With Paltrow at her most alluring it barely matters that the premise [of the film] is pure soap opera".
