Damian Green gets his computer back
Whatever the truth about the circumstances of the police raid on Tory frontbencher Damian Green’s private office last week – as The First Post’s Mole wrote yesterday, the Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner Bob Quick has angrily contradicted the Speaker Michael Martin’s version of events – there is some good news at last for Green himself.
A Westminster insider regular to The First Post that he bumped into Green and his researcher late on Thursday afternoon, pushing a trolley towards his office, loaded with a black PC tower and monitor. “They’ve given it back!” said Green, referring to the Met's confiscation of his computer. Friends and acquaintances of the embattled Oppositon immigration spokesman can expect emails to flow again this morning. ·
