Although she has yet to release so much as a single, Victoria Hesketh (pictured), aka Little Boots, has been named as the most promising talent of the year in a BBC poll, the Sound of 2009, which in the past has been won by Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Razorlight and the Ting Tings. Little Boots has developed her fledgling career – and a solid fan base – via the internet, with one of her videos receiving almost 350,000 views, and is currently recording her debut album in Los Angeles. "This is the real deal now," she said of the poll, which is judged by more than 100 music industry movers and shakers. "I'm a real person, I just happen to make ridiculously epic pop songs in my bedroom"………..
