Kate Moss denies pregnancy reports
Kate Moss has denied reports that she is pregnant, saying that she is merely sporting a new "womanly" figure. The 35-year-old supermodel sparked rumours that she was expecting a child with The Kills singer Jamie Hince after photographs showing her with a rounded stomach were splashed across British newspapers at the weekend.
But in an interview with New York magazine, Moss explained the changes in her body are simply down to the fact that she has put on some weight and is "a woman now".
She said: "I've just started wearing bras. It's a miracle," adding that her new curvaceous frame has come at a perfect time as she is ready to launch a lingerie collection. "Even my friends are phoning me up and saying, 'Are you pregnant?' And I'm like, 'No! I just put on a couple of pounds and they went in the right place. Isn't that weird? Now I can fill a B-cup."
Moss, who was giving a joint interview with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green ahead of the opening of a new $20m Topshop store in New York this April, expressed some concern that boyfriend Hince might not like her with a fuller bosom. But it’s gone down a treat with Sir Philip. "Now you've got titties," the 56-year-old tycoon said. "How exciting." ·
