Freida Pinto and Dev Patel: a love made in ‘Slumdog’ heaven?

The Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, who plays the quiz-master in Slumdog Millionaire, is under the impression that the on-screen love affair between his two co-stars, Freida Pinto and Dev Patel (pictured), has become a real life romance.

Kapoor, a Bollywood star who has made over 100 films, said: "When I meet them, I feel there is something happening. But she [Pinto] says 'I have to look after him' and 'I have to baby sit him' and that kind of stuff. [I think] this is the beginning of something exciting happening. They definitely make a great pair. Both of them look very good together."

Pinto, 24, and Patel, 18, have certainly been thrown together on their worldwide tour to promote the movie, which is up for ten Oscars this Sunday, including a nomination for its director, Danny Boyle. But some believe their age difference may have escaped Kapoor and that the rumour has caught fire only because Pinto recently broke up with Rohan Antao, to whom, some claim, she is married.
