Dame Vivienne Westwood was top of the class at London Fashion Week over the weekend with her St Trinians-inspired Red Label collection. After a ten-year absence from the London catwalk, the 68-year-old drew a star-studded crowd on Saturday that included Kanye West (right), Lily Cole (left), Kate Moss, Dita Von Teese, Pamela Anderson, Erin O'Connor, David Walliams and Natalie Imbruglia.

Ever the punk, Westwood could not resist making a political statement, presenting a male model in orange trunks protesting for the rights of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay to begin with, before sending Jo Wood, the estranged wife of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie, down the catwalk styled as a sexy headmistress in a three-piece trouser suit and cleavage-baring dress. The schoolgirl-themed collection - an edgy mix of blazers, robes and dresses modelled by Alice Dellal and Daisy Lowe - went down a storm with the fashion pack.

Topshop's Unique ready-to-wear collection was a "must-see" and particularly crucial for Sir Philip Green, who is opening the chain's first New York store in April. Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe attended the show alongside Biba founder Barbara Hulaniki and model Twiggy. The Katie Grand styled array of neon dresses, sequinned trousers and heavy knit fuchsia cardigans struck a chord with the crowd - so much so that one observer, noted Vogue.com, couldn't contain their enthusiasm, shouting, "Wow! Wow! Wow!" as a pair of over-the-knee boots made their way down the runway.

Saturday's stellar line up continued when Paulo "Kinder" Aggugini - former head designer at Versace made his long-awaited debut in front of 200 "specially selected guests". Carolyn Asome in the Times described Aggugini's collection of wrap-dresses, kimono-cut jackets and floral prints as "an eclectic mix of Coco Chanel meets Sid Vicious".

On Sunday night, actress Sienna Miller and sister Savannah made their catwalk debut with Twenty8Twelve, the fashion label the pair began in 2007. Jess Cartner-Morley of the Guardian said the Millers had managed to make “the essence of cool, modern London dressing - slick tailoring, rock-chick cool and romantic vintage pieces... into an accessible collection”. ·
