Pixie Geldof models for Luella at London Fashion Week
Pixie Geldof took to the catwalk yesterday during Luella Bartley's show on the fourth day of London Fashion Week. With Bob and Peaches Geldof looking on from the front row, Pixie stalked the catwalk in a black and gold prom dress worn over a frilly black jumper – just one of the many creations from this season's punk-infused collection of bubble dresses and classic tailoring.
"Luella provides quite the uniform for London's coterie of party girls, It girls, rich girls and daddy's girls," said Laura Craik in the Evening Standard but it wasn't just the girls who "got" Luella's designs. Kanye West - fast becoming a familiar front row face – had braved the early start to watch the show, as had Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie.
Meanwhile, Pam Hogg made a fashion comeback with her first show in a decade. Daisy Lowe modelled the rock 'n' roll suffused collection at the Science Museum that included a patchwork fur jacket and harlequin leggings.
Giles Deacon, Julien Macdonald, Paul Smith and Jasper Conran rounded off the day alongside a handful of new designers such as Louise Goldin and Erdem.
Deacon, presented a diverse collection of high fashion with a punky twist. The Independent's Carola Long remarked on the 38-year-old's collection: "In less accomplished hands the mix could have jarred, but Deacon has made such energetic juxtapositions his own throughout his career." ·
