Tabloid Round-up: R-Patz agrees to join K-Stew on red carpet; how to catch a thief LL Cool J-style

ACTOR Robert Pattinson may be smarting after his very public break-up with soulmate Kristen Stewart, but he has still decided to take the moral high ground and join her on the red carpet at the upcoming premiere of The Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, reports The Daily Mail. The two have not met since Stewart was caught enjoying a passionate tryst with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders last month. The photos drew the full force of the Twilight fanbase’s anger, with fans booing Stewart in the street and branding her a “trampire”. A source told The Sun that the chivalrous Pattinson will put her well-being before his own feelings, to stop “female fans booing her”.

Rapper LL Cool J clearly took his mother’s advice to heart when he broke the nose and jaw of a burglar who tried to enter his Studio City home, says Gawker. The Mama Said Knock You Out star went to investigate when he heard a noise in the kitchen. After what police have described as a  "knock-down, drag-out" fight, Cool J detained the hapless thief, ready for collection by the authorities. Fans of the hiphop star can rest assured that he acted with the best of intentions. According to his publicist: "As a father, husband and citizen, [LL] is committed to keeping his family safe.” LL’s mother has yet to comment.

Many actresses insist on a no-nudity clause in their contract, but not Kelly Brook. The Sun reports that when she realised the script for her new movie Keith Lemon: The Film had no scenes requiring her to strip down to her underwear, she insisted one was added. Apparently, she was “amazed at the omission” and told film executives: “When I walk down the corridor, you can put me in slow-mo, give me a wind machine and let me do my thing.’” However, the former Ultimo model admitted she’s paying the price for such antics. Despite going to drama school and appearing in 12 films and two West End plays, people still refuse to see her as an actress.

British heartthrobs The Wanted played an intimate gig at New York’s JFK airport, much to the delight of their fans, reports The Daily Mail. The gig turned out to be a rather sedate affair however, and only ticketed customers and contest winners were able to see the surprise performance. The band were delighted by the unusual venue choice, tweeting: “Amazing gig at the @JetBlue terminal ... now off to Syracuse for the State Fair ... gonna try deep fried Snickers!!”
