LADY GAGA had a ‘Marilyn moment’ at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday when she serenaded Bill Clinton at a star-studded charity bash to mark the 10th anniversary of the William J Clinton Foundation.

In homage to screen icon Marilyn Monroe, who famously sang Happy Birthday to former President Kennedy in 1962, Gaga donned a blonde wig and sang directly to the 42nd US President, who was watching with wife Hillary and daughter Chelsea.

Although the bash was a chance for Clinton to celebrate his 65th birthday back in August, Gaga chose not to perform Happy Birthday but an updated version of her hit song Bad Romance, which became Bill Romance for the occasion.

She quipped that her Marilyn moment “didn’t involve pills and a strand of pearls”, an allusion to the affair between Monroe and Kennedy which, according to the legend, was sparked by Monroe’s serenade.

There was certainly chemistry between Gaga and Clinton. At one point she called out to him from the stage: “I wish you were playing sax with me tonight baby”.

Clinton was equally enthused: "I thought, my God. I get Lady Gaga, and I will have a heart attack celebrating my 65th birthday". ·
