Mississippi river floods

Residents of Vicksburg, Mississippi, watch as the historic Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad Station is flooded. Heavy rains have caused the Mississippi to swell over its banks in seven states (Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas) over the last week. The damage is yet to be fully evaluated but is estimated at more than $4bn.
