Football scandal: the FIFA officials facing corruption allegations

The impartiality of FIFA officials voting in the 2018 and 2022 hosting ballot has been called into question during a Commons select committee hearing. The allegations – levelled by Lord Triesman, the former FA chairman who led England’s 2018 Cup bid, and the Sunday Times – follow earlier accusations made around the time of the December 2010 vote.
