AINTREE, APRIL 9 2011: Dooneys Gate falls on his head at the notorious Becher's Brook fence during the Grand National. The horse broke his back in the fall and was destroyed. Another horse, Ornais, died after breaking his neck. The deaths have provoked a row over cruelty in what is considered one of the most challenging steeplechases in horseracing, but there have been approximately 160 deaths in British horseracing in the last year alone.
