Pictured at two weeks, Romulus was given to Col Gaddafi by the Italian Prime
Minister Silvio Berlusconi when the Libyan visited Rome in June 2009.
Romulus and his twin brother Remus were born in captivity at the Bioparco di
Roma. Angered by what he saw as Berlusconi's betrayal when Italy signed up
to the no-fly zone resolution, Gaddafi threatened to set Romulus loose in
war-torn Libya.
