End of the road for Kate and Sam

British actress Kate Winslet with her then-boyfriend, director Sam Mendes at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, January 2002. Winslet was nominated for a best supporting actress for her portrayal of author Iris Murdoch in 'Iris'. The couple met in 2001 and married on a whim in 2003, while on holiday in Antigua.
