EVAN MUNCIE, 28: Four weeks after the earthquake, the severely dehydrated and malnourished Muncie is filmed (above) by CNN in a field hospital in Port-au-Prince. He was found by scavengers in a pile of rubble that used to be the market where he sold rice. A doctor told CNN that Muncie must have had access to water to have survived so long. Haitian authorities officially ended search operations on January 23.
