From screen to stage
Keira Knightley, 24, made her West End stage debut on December 17 in The Misanthrope. In an updated version of Moliere's play, Knightley, the Pirates of the Caribbean star, portrays a spoilt Hollywood actress. Reviews were mixed. "She cuts a stunningly beautiful figure," said the Independent. "She has real stage presence." But the Mail claimed: "She has all the charisma of a serviceable goldfish."
