Patrick Swayze dies

Patrick Swayze starred opposite Jennifer Grey as an American guerrilla fighting the Red Army in 1984's 'Red Dawn'. But his big breakthrough came three years later with 'Dirty Dancing' in which he played a dance instructor, again teaming up with Grey (pictured above in a scene from the film). The movie was one of the highest grossing of 1987, earning $170m worldwide.
