Lady Penelope rides again

Pedro Almodovar, the director of her latest film 'Broken Embraces', which opens in Britain on August 28, first cast Penelope Cruz in his 1997 film 'Carne tremula' ('Live Flesh'), 1997, in which she played a young prostitute who gives birth on a bus. It was a cameo, but many felt she stole the film. The maestro and his muse have worked together on four films, including the Oscar-winning 'All About My Mother' (1999) and 'Volver' (2006).
