Mariah Carey was the first megastar to appear on stage. She was joined by R&B singer Trey Lorenz for a duet rendition of the 1970 Jackson 5 number one, 'I'll Be There'. Carey and Lorenz also had a number one with the song when they recorded it live in 1992.
