The Queen and Prince Philip arrive at Royal Ascot. The Queen has six horses running at Ascot, including Free Agent who triumphed on the final day last year.
The hats were out for the first day of Royal Ascot 2009. The big race of the day, the St James’s Palace Stakes, was won by Mastercraftsman, trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Johnny Murtagh.
