Sichuan earthquake, 1 year on

Workers reinforce the ruins of a building destroyed by the Sichuan earthquake. The Chinese government has pledged to spend almost $150 billion on repairs.

On May 12, 2008 a massive earthquake struck the Chinese province of Sichuan, killing almost 70,000 people. One year later, the task of reconstruction goes on.
