Sichuan earthquake, 1 year on

Former students from the Beichuan New Middle School in the remains of a classroom. The quake, which measured 7.8 on the Richter scale and devastated the south-western province of Sichuan, was felt in Beijing and Shanghai, over 1,000 miles away, and even in Russia and Pakistan.
On May 12, 2008 a massive earthquake struck the Chinese province of Sichuan, killing almost 70,000 people. One year later, the task of reconstruction goes on.
