Hamburg train set
Visitors inspect the replica Hamburg section of the exhibit. Other sections of the model world include Switzerland, Scandinavia and America. In the planning stages are scale models of districts of Italy and France as well as a 60-square-metre functioning airport.
An alpine train station on display in Hamburg. The replica Alps were carved from several tonnes of gypsum and feature approximately 28,000 trees and 6,500 miniature figures. Different areas of the mountains are decorated to represent different seasons of the year.
