Grand Prix quick six

After his sensational triumph last season the pressure is on Lewis Hamilton to repeat the feat. The 24-year-old from Stevanage proved that he can handle the pressure and with a growing maturity he is a good bet to retain his title. The main barrier would appear to be the car he is driving, McLaren's new MP4-24 model has not performed well in testing. They urgently need to iron out those problems if they are to avoid being left standing at the start of the season and leaving Hamilton with a mountain to climb.
When Honda pulled out of Formula 1 in December Jenson Button looked all washed up. Now some people are tipping him for the title. The 29-year-old Brit's career has been resurrected by Russ Brawn, who stepped in to save the Honda team, now renamed Brawn GP. There were low expectations for new outfit until testing began and jaws hit the floor as Brawn's drivers disappeared over the horizon. Much depends on the outcome of a wrangle over the legality of the car and it's diffuser.
