Barbie’s 50th

A young woman made up to look like Barbie at the Nuremberg international toy fair in Germany this week. The first television advert for Barbie aired in 1959 when the original doll was available either as a blonde or a brunette. Fifty years later, Mattel, the company that makes Barbie, is producing a replica version of the original 1959 Barbie to honour the occasion.
