Capa’s frontline

'Republican soldiers running forward' was taken by Robert Capa in November 1938 during the Spanish Civil War. The Barbican exhibition includes photographs discovered only last year when a suitcase full of negatives surfaced in Mexico City. Born in Hungary in 1913, Capa was one of the founders of the Magnum photo agency. He died in Vietnam in 1954
