Newman stars as Eddie Felson in the 1961 film, 'The Hustler'. 'Fast Eddie' was out to beat the legendary pool player Minnesota Fats. Newman was nominated for another Academy Award for the role but had to wait until 'The Color of Money' - the 1986 Martin Scorsese film in which he reprised the part of Eddie Felson - before he won an Oscar
